Hanging scroll, traditionally mounted in brocade, ink and colour on paper, entitled 延年 ('Yan nian', Longevity) in two large seal-script characters at upper right, inscribed and signed 八十八歲白石 ('Baishi at the age of eighty-eight'), with a second signature 白石又畫 ('Baishi painted again'), with three seals of the artist: Qi Baishi (齊白石), Jieshan weng (借山翁, 'Old Man of the Borrowed Mountain') and Wu nian bashiba (吾年八十八, 'I am eighty-eight years old'); together with one further illegible sentence-seal at lower left, probably a studio or later collector's seal. Datable to 1948.

Provenance: Collection of Ivana Bakešová (b. 1939), Prague; acquired in Beijing in 1961 or early 1962 directly from Liu Jintai (劉金濤, 1922–2018), the regular mounter of Qi Baishi's studio and a central figure in the Beijing painting world of the mid-twentieth century; thence by descent. Accompanied by a written statement of acquisition issued by Ivana Bakešová, Prague, 16 May 2026. Accompanied by a written expert opinion from Prof. PhDr. Lucie Olivová, Ph.D., DSc., May 2026.
