This fascinating color woodblock print book is titled Bijutsu Sekai and was compiled and edited by Settai. Published in 1891, the volume consists of 34 pages, 26 of which feature fine woodblock prints. A few prints are executed in brilliant color, while most are in a more muted color or partially colored. A notable highlight of the book is the print of a Kabuki actor by Kunichika, largely due to its vivid coloring. Otherwise, the subjects are diverse, including cats and dogs, chickens, other birds, a monkey, and various human genre scenes.
