Ink and colours on paper. Framed. Signed: painted by Xiao Xinquan in the Gengyun guan Reading Room. Seals: Xiao Xinquan yin; Jiping guan. Dedication on reverse: "Dedicated to my uncle on my mother's side, Jungweng, painted and dedicated during the middle spring month of 1939 by his silly nephew Xiao Xinquan." Inscribed with a poem (7 syllable quatrain) about snow-white water lilies which reflect on the surface of the water and like quiet water, they don't stir it up like waterfowl...
