Signed: kinpunmei Ichimonji 一文字and kaó of the Hon'ami family master, 16th generation Kókyú 本阿弥 光久(1722 一 1789). Nagasa: 68.5 cm Blade type: hon zukuri, chu kissaki. iori mune, hamon Tempering line: active nioideki ko choji midare (zubu yaki) with a lot of hataraki, yaki kuzure, ashi, choji ashi, yó, midare utsuri Forging pattern: mokume-nagare hada with nioi kuzure, chikei, tobijaki etc., deep sori, furutogi Blade is without flaws, nearly perfect from all points of view. Koshirae: ito maki koshirae in perfect condition with aka urushi no saya with kamon, family crest- katabami (oxalis corniculata) and maru ni omodaka in lacquerwork makie. Fittings: kabutógane, fuchi, tsuba, kanagu etc. migaki ji dó (copper), shakudo kojiiri , mokkó gata tsuba (swordguard) with plovers and waves motif Signed: Masatoshi 稚哉, menuki with long armed monkey motif( tenaga saru). Wooden stand (tachikake) decorated with mother of pearl inlay in raden nuri style and gold lacquer painting (kinpun nuri) with peony and karakusa motif, 18th-19th century.
