Ink and colours on silk. Framed. Signed on the left: Hu Cong. Hu Cong came from Rugao in Jiangsu province. He worked at the imperial court of Xuande (1425 - 1436). He specialized in flower and bird painting in the style Ma Yuan, and in the painting of horses in the Yuan style. Provenance: Collection of Dr. Ing. L. Kapsa.
