This type of bronze vessel was used to pour water for handwashing, and was extensively used during the Warring States period. Heart-shaped body (ref.: Pingliang Miaozhuang M6:4), sanjiaowen decor on the sides typical for early Warring States period, traces of gilding on the surface. Provenance: An important Dutch private collection.
