NGO QUANG NAM (BORN 1942)

Colours on silk. Ngo Quang Nam comes from North Vietnam. He studied at Prague's Academy of Fine Arts, from which he graduated in 1973, and studied further from 1985 to 1986. In addition to painting, he also sculpts and writes poetry and short prose. He is a member of the Vietnamese Artists' Union and the Vietnamese Writers' Union. He has exhibited in the Czech Republic, South Korea, China, Chile, the United States, Switzerland and Argentina, and has works a number of galleries and museums, including the Museum of Fine Arts in Hanoi, the Museum of Ho Chi Minh City, and others. He has received many awards for his work, both in Vietnam and abroad.
