Gilded bronze and black pearwood, 20 x 22.5 x 13.5 cm, Germany, 1620. A unique, late Renaissance automatic clock in the shape of a dog which rolls its eyes, opens its mouth and barks when striking. Only 11 known examples are known extant in the world.
