An album of traditionally printed woodcuts on handmade paper. 23 numbered folders, each with 2 woodcut prints. Hardback brocaded covers with the inscription: Dento geijutsu (Traditional Art). Tesuri mokuhan (Hand-printed woodblock prints). Dainishiki ukiyoe bijin meisaku soroi (Selection of famous portraits of beauties from a large compendium of "brocade pictures"). Publisher: Yamada Shoin. The album contains representative works by ukiyo-e masters of the 19th century, such as Utamaro, Toyokuni, Eizan, Eisen, Hiroshige and others. Each of the 23 folders is accompanied by an expert interpretation by the famous historian and scholar of "pictures from the floating world" Yoshida Teruji (1901-1972).
